    The Astrology of August 2022

This is a month without great aspects between the transiting planets. Most notably, we have all the social (Jupiter and Saturn) and transpersonal (Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto) planets in retrograde motion. This configuration indicates that we are going through a review period at a collective level, reviving situations that we have already seen in recent months, but without great news. August it’s a time where we deal with our personal reality.

    August 2022 Most important transits

    August 4, 2022 – Mercury in Virgo

In August, our mental energy puts the emphasis on observing and identifying what needs improvement. This is a pragmatic month and we dedicate ourselves to everyday life with greater attention.

For Virgo, Capricorn, Taurus, Scorpio, and Cancer this is a good month to put an order in daily practical matters and you can experience clarity and mental serenity.

For Gemini, Sagittarius, and Pisces, situations may occur where we feel criticized for our “lack of attention”. Paying attention to details can be beneficial at this time.

    August 11, 2022 – Venus in Leo

When Venus transits Leo it makes us want to have a good time, laugh, play and enjoy life. We look for sunlight and appreciate what makes us feel creative.

For Leo, Sagittarius, Aries, Libra, and Gemini, this month comes with pleasant moments, happiness, and satisfaction.

For Scorpio, Aquarius and Taurus, it is a good time to observe the reluctance to accept that life also includes joy for its own sake. And allow, for this time, the sunlight to be enough to make you smile.

    August 11, 2022 – Full Moon in Aquarius – 19 degrees 21′

This is a good time to objectively observe the results of the plans we started 6 months ago. The Full Moon in Aquarius provides the necessary emotional detachment to contemplate our subjective reality in a more “scientific” way. What are the plans for the future that we need to set aside because they are no longer relevant? How satisfied are we with respect to our personal aspirations? The light of the Full Moon in Aquarius illuminates the ideological patterns that we follow, the emotional nourishment that we receive from the friendships and groups with which we share ideals. It also allows us to strongly feel to what extent we feel we belong (or not) to our social circle. This allows us to explore what we really need to feel “at home”.

    August 20, 2022 – Mars in Gemini

The transit of Mars in Gemins puts the emphasis on movement, letting ourselves be carried away by curiosity and the desire to socialize. Action is taken through the use of words. We seek information and disseminate it with passion. Debate time.

For Gemini, Libra, Aquarius, Leo and Aries, the action becomes more agile thanks to great flexibility and speed. It’s a good time to asset ourselves verbally.

For Virgo, Pisces and Sagittarius, this is a month of great dispersion where it may be difficult to act towards a certain goal, creating some frustration. It is good to use this month to inform yourself and ask questions instead of taking action.

    August 22, 2022 – Sun in Virgo

    Happy birthday, Virgos!

    August 24, 2022 – Uranus Retrograde in Taurus – 18 degrees 55′

Uranus is retrograde again in Taurus and will remain so for the rest of the year. This transit is felt more on a collective level than a personal one, unless it makes an aspect to one of our personal planets. At a social level, situations can occur that we have already experienced, especially with regard to finances. Certain economic-related innovation projects are reversed. The material destabilization can be seen as “detention” because it is necessary to review the changes that have occurred in recent times, or certain financial ups and downs can be repeated that highlight ideological failures at the economic level.

On a personal level, for Taurus, Scorpio, Leo and Aquarius (especially those with personal planets between 15 and 20 degrees of these signs), the internal tension that has been felt in recent months may decrease. Uranus in Taurus indicates a need for personal renewal. For the Fixed signs, this transit is a good opportunity to listen to oneself and pay attention to the need to make external changes in our lives, since they indicate the need to let go of old internal structures that have become obsolete.

For Virgo, Capricorn, Cancer and Pisces, (especially those with personal planets between 15 and 20 degrees of these signs), the transit of Uranus in Taurus signals a time of personal renewal and the discovery of unique aspects of ourselves that may surprise us. Retrograde Uranus can bring surprising situations from the past that invite us to do something out of the ordinary, as well as innovation and changes in routine.

    August 25, 2022 – Mercury in Libra

When Mercury transits Libra, the emphasis is on “listening to the other”, reaching agreements and the use of diplomacy. Communication becomes more “gallant”, charming.

For Libra, Aquarius, Gemini, Leo, and Sagittarius, this transit translates into pleasant conversations, the ability to get along with others, and a clear and balanced mind.

For Capricorn, Cancer and Aries, this transit invites them to learn to listen to the other and take into account other points of view.

August 27, 2022 – New Moon in Virgo

The New Moon in Virgo is a time to sow the seeds of our personal development. What would you like to improve about yourself or your life? What do you want to perfect? What are the new habits that you would like to acquire? With the New Moon in Virgo we have the opportunity to start a personal improvement project that will be developed over the next 6 months.

    August 29, 2022 – North Node semi-sextile Chiron – 15 degrees 44′ (Taurus – Aries)

This aspect may indicate the acquisition of new personal values that enrich us in some way or another as a result of the pain of not being able to fully express our sense of identity.

    Ongoing Transits

    Jupiter Retrograde in Aries – 8 degrees 42′ to 6 degrees 58′

Jupiter is slowly turning back towards Pisces. In Aries, the energy of the warrior has been intensified. In retrograde movement we can expect this energy to decrease, while allowing us to re-experience actions that we have already taken before, to learn from them.

The Jupiter retrograde period will end in Pisces when Jupiter makes its final conjunction with Neptune once again. Now we have the opportunity to relive situations from the past where we can see if our impulses are aligned with what really inspires us or not.

  • Pluto in Aquarius 2023-2044

    Pluto in Aquarius 2023-2044

Plutoโ€™s transit in Aquarius begins on March 23, 2023, until June 11, 2023, when it returns to Capricorn. On January 21, 2024 Pluto re-enters Aquarius again, where it will stay for 20 years. What can we expect during this period? First, let’s talk about Aquarius.

See also The Astrology of 2023

    The Energy of Aquarius

Aquarius is an Air and Fixed sign. On an energetic level, in Aquarius we see the solidification of ideas. The fixation (Fixed modality) of ideas (Air element) creates the formation of new concepts. For this reason, Aquarius represents progress and innovation. In Aquarius, we see the flourishing of inventions, genius, decentralisation and the regrouping of ideas by affinity.

On the darker side, we see an inability to connect with emotions, coldness, lack of compassion, extreme dogmatism, and a total denial of the natural self. Aquarius can become a great defender of trans-humanism, with a tendency to see the body as simply matter and not something sacred. Mental dissociation and the habit of conceptualising emotions as a coping mechanism create a feeling of alienation and of not being able to feel the vitality of life.

    The Pluto Effect

Although Aquarius seeks social equality and has a reputation for giving themselves to a cause for the benefit of all, in reality, there is a great shadow within this sign, which is that of control through a closed and very inflexible ideology. Pluto is going to bring this shadow into the light so that we abandon certain habits that do not allow us to progress. That will be Pluto’s job while transiting Aquarius.

Of course, it will be lived on different levels. Each one of us will find our own dogmatisms and dissociations. Some of us will act unconsciously and want to implement our ideology on others. Others of us will act more consciously and do the work on our own shadow.

During the transit of Pluto in Aquarius, power struggles can arise between groups, both political and social. Some of these groups will act from the shadow of Aquarius, wanting to implement extremist ideas that that everyone must abide by, leaving aside the value of the individual. Whatever arises, it all happens because a transformation is taking place. And we do it the “human” way.

Consciousness is the light side of Aquarius. During this transit we will also see the rise of great thinkers, new philosophies and even the development of a new mass psychology that will address the manifestations of the shadow of humanity.

    Neptune’s Transit

Although there will be a strong trend towards intellectualization – something that can create an even denser human bubble than the current one, Neptune will remain in Pisces until 2025, something that may help maintain the connection with the magical and empathyโ€ฆ although for some this position may indicate the desire to see things better than they really are. Starting in 2025, Neptune begins its transit through Aries, where it will stay for twelve and a half years. There it might begin a new period of idealization, confusion and acceptance of Identity. As in all cases, this can manifest itself in various waysโ€ฆ one of them can be the idealization of the Hero, the warrior, and on the other hand, the recognition of the individuality of all living beings. I’ll talk more about Neptune in Aries in a future article.

    Pluto in Capricorn 2008-2024

From 2008 to 2024 we have been going through the transit of Pluto in Capricorn. During this period we have seen (and are still seeing) the transformation of the Capricorn principles that have reigned for the last 248 years. With Pluto in Capricorn, outdated structures are dismantled, voluntarily or involuntarily. Transmutation occurs on several levels. One can experience it consciously or unconsciously. Pluto comes to transmute what exists to create a new version of it. Everything that resists change will experienced it more intensely, since Pluto’s energy cannot be stopped and will press when it encounters a blockage.

We notice the energy of Pluto when the survival instinct is awakened and we act out of compulsion. Sometimes what we see scares us. The truth is that it was always thereโ€ฆ in the basements of the subconscious. In Capricorn we see what we have suppressed through customs, traditions and regulations. We also see the corruption that reigns in the Status Quo. We have seen the fall of Hollywood glamor through the complaints and subsequent trial of Harvey Weinstein, which not only includes the sexual abuse of actors but also shows the corruption of the Oscars in the Academy of Arts and Sciences that until then it was synonymous with “prestige” (and all this during the transit of Neptune in Pisces). Lack of trust in financial institutions and government centralization fueled the success of cryptocurrency. And much more!

On the other hand, Pluto in Capricorn inclines us to look at these issues in depth and gives us the courage to investigate and understand the motivations behind the need for “power”, its abuse, social projection and success.

    Pluto in Aquarius in History

A good way to understand what’s ahead is to take a look at the last time Pluto was in Aquarius. That happened from 1778 to 1798. During that period we have seen the following:

    • The French Revolution
    • The independence of the United States
    • The metric system was adopted by France, establishing itself as a global standard of measurement, surpassing the imperial system in the process.
    • The apogee of the Age of Enlightenment
    • The beginning of the abolitionist movement

‘Dare to know! Have the courage to use your own reason!

from “What is the Enlightenment?” (1784) by Immanuel Kant – German Philosopher

This quote from Kant can exemplify the energy of Pluto in Aquarius better than anyone. In 1778, at the beginning of Pluto’s transit through Aquarius, Uranus was transiting Gemini. We will see this configuration again in 2025, on July 7, when Uranus passes from Taurus to Gemini and Pluto is already in Aquarius.

    The Power of the Masses

Pluto empowers, deforms, distorts, corrupts, deconstructs, transforms. We can imagine that Pluto in Aquarius awakens the struggle for the survival of certain ideologies and/or political groups. Pluto gives power to ideas, a strong drive and a lot of passion.

Pluto also awakens the memories that are found in the DNA and that have been passed down from generation to generation. In Aquarius, Pluto can bring to the surface fears of change brought about by new inventions, progress and social equality. This can create a clash between those who fear change and the new ideologies that arise. As I have mentioned before, Aquarius, although innovative, is somewhat dogmatic and does not change its mind easily. Its innovative power can also manifest itself as not very flexible.

Pluto in Aquarius describes the removal of what stands in the way of moving towards a future with greater social equality. How this is done depends very much on the collective reality of the moment.

On the other hand, the ability to understand social movements and their motivations can cause a very deep intellectual current, especially considering that Uranus will be in Gemini in 2025, opening the possibility of new and very rapid ways of disseminating information. With Pluto in Aquarius and Uranus in Gemini we could see the implementation of universal free education, for exampleโ€ฆ which would be wonderful. With Pluto in Aquarius, what we will surely see will be a very strong desire for social equality. And also the rise of secret societies.

As I have said before, during the previous transit of Pluto in Aquarius, the Enlightenment reached its peak. In 1789, the French Revolution was born from this movement, where the old authorities were eliminated in order to remake society under the slogan “Libertรฉ, รฉgalitรฉ, fraternitรฉ” (Liberty, equality, fraternity). And we already know the story of Marie Antoinette.

This is Plutoโ€ฆ passionate and sometimes ruthless.

Despite the possible conflicts that may occur, we will see the rise of deep thinkers. A new Age of Enlightenment perhaps? During the transit of Pluto, first in Capricorn and then in Aquarius during the 18th century, the objective was to combat ignorance. At that time humanity sought to eliminate religious and traditional beliefs and focus on the rational questioning of reality, emphasizing progress.

On the other hand, Pluto also speaks of control and manipulation, especially when experienced from the lowest vibrations. And in Aquarius, we can talk about control and manipulation through the mind, through ideas. This can bring some form of “mentalism”. Or mind control. Perhaps it is the social diffusion of these practices, since Uranus in Gemini (from 2025) indicates, among other things, the release of information. It is possible that some kind of telepathic system will develop. Or unveiled.

Be that as it may, in the past this transit has brought great progress in society. We see a new era coming where “knowledge” will be the star. Pluto leads us to delve into the ideologies we follow and the groups to which we belong. Pluto will make us investigate the motivations that bind us to them and transform what needs to be transformed in order to allow progress.

Soโ€ฆ what can we expect during the 20 years that Pluto is in Aquarius? A great social reform. Fanaticism. Secret societies. The rise of great thinkers. A great emphasis on knowledge. An objective interest in esotericism and the occult sciences. Mass psychology. “Liberte, รฉgalitรฉ, fraternity”. A new approach to existence. Extreme ideologies coming to the surface. Mentalism. Transhumanism. Deep healing of mental fixations through alternative therapies (EFT, etc.). Social power and the power of the people. Animal rights.

As always, it is in our hands to manifest the world we want to live in. Listening to our own fanaticism, our mental inflexibility and learning to dialogue and include everyone when thinking about progress can be difficult during this time that is coming, but not impossible. As Kant says, dare to know and use your own mind. There will be many opportunities for it.

  • Jupiter Conjunction Neptune in Pisces 2022

Jupiter Conjunction Neptune in Pisces 2022

On April 12, 2022, Jupiter makes a conjunction with Neptune at 23 degrees 59′ of Pisces. This conjunction has begun to be felt since the beginning of March and will continue until the end of May. This transit will be back in November, when Jupiter retrograde re-enters Pisces, approaching Neptune once again. The last conjunction will take place on November 23rd, when Jupiter becomes stationary at 28 degrees 48′ of Pisces.

    Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Pisces

The conjunction of Jupiter and Neptune is significantโ€ฆboth planets rule Pisces! The last time we had this aspect was on March 17th, 1856, which makes this conjunction extraordinary in our times. Neptunian energy is enhanced like never before. Here we see a strong dissolution of the limits of reality, a connection with the collective tide, great creativity, compassion and even an intensification of psychic energies.

Pisces, like all signs, can manifest at various levels of consciousness. The lowest is related to escapism, the desire not to see things as they are, illusions, deception, martyrdom, victimization and the substances used to stop feeling reality. The highest octave of Pisces corresponds to mystics, unconditional love, divine inspiration, creativity, art, exquisite sensitivity, dreams,โ€ฆ

Every being vibrates. Even stones vibrate. In that sense, we are all the same. There is no superior or inferior. The only thing that differs is the consciousness focus. Vibrating in a higher vibration doesn’t mean being “happy, happy, happy.” Rather it means “go lighter”. We human beings have some problems with “going lighter”. Generally we need to do some sort of self-awareness work for it. However, during March, April and part of May, the cosmic energies give us a beautiful healing experience through the passage of Jupiter through Pisces and its conjunction with Neptune, especially during the week of April 12.

Jupiter, wherever it goes, expands. Neptune dissolves. As a Mutable and Water sign, when Jupiter is in Pisces, the image of a shoal that grows in size comes to mind. We do not know if the shoal grows because there are more and more fish coming in or if it is simply an illusion created by the fish themselves guided by an invisible force.

    Neptune’s Entry into Pisces – February 2011

Neptune entered Pisces in February 2011. We have been feeling its influence for twelve years. In a way, we no longer feel itโ€ฆ It has become a daily reality. What happened back then? 4G. In mid-2011, Canada launched its first LTE wireless network in Ottawa, Ontario. The capacity of mobile data downloads increased like never before. Spotify launched globally in July 2011. In 2012, the states of Colorado and Washington were the first to legalize cannabis through the vote of their citizens. Also in 2012 Instagram began to grow in popularity and it was bought by Facebook in 2013. In December 2013 the Ebola epidemic began. We have also seen the rise of veganism, animal sanctuaries and animal rights organizations.

Neptune dissolves the borders between individuals and groups, connecting our society. It is also related to all forms of escapism, creativity, music, cinema and all sort of imaginary – and especially filters!, and yes, also pandemics. Compassion and care for the most vulnerable is also part of its realm.

The conjunction with Jupiter of April 12, 2022

So, during the weeks leading up to the conjunction on April 12, Neptune’s dissolving force will begin to expand in crescendo thanks to Jupiter. What can we expect? Several Telecom companies are planning the massive launch of 5G during the first quarter of 2022. Jupiter is related to inflation, and together with Neptune, it creates an inflationary process worldwideโ€ฆ although that is expected considering what has happened during 2020 and 2021. Let’s see possibilities:

    • 5G
    • Inflation Worldwide
    • Expansion of beliefs or philosophies
    • Huge infatuation or vainglory
    • Global dissemination of truth
    • And global spread of lies
    • Accented fantasy
    • Great inspiration
    • Holographic Imaging
    • Great sacrifices
    • Great confusion
    • Expansion of spirituality
    • Global art events

This is an opportunity that, of course, can go into the higher or lower octaves of Pisces. From the highest vibrations we find a portal to connection with love and inspiration. Neptune’s energy can help us feel the union between everyone and everything. Our senses are capable of capturing the intangible. We are bathed in a wave of universal love. Feeling ONE with the trees, with the other animals and awakening a great compassion for everything that is discriminated against, devaluedโ€ฆ we are able to see the sacred in all the work of the Creator. We can even see more clearly the illusions that have confused us for a long time. On the other hand, from the lowest vibrations, we find ourselves with a great desire to not see things as they are, to want to escape from reality, to feel better no matter what or simply live in a state of confusion.

Therefore, it is a good idea to stay centered, internalize this energy and connect with the heart. The conjunction of Jupiter with Neptune can be translated as an energetic wave that dissolves the borders of the collective unconscious. Something like what we feel during a massive concert of our favorite musician. We all become part of the shoal and are carried by an invisible force. Suddenly, we are all on the same pageโ€ฆ And this is what the expansion created by Jupiter-Neptune causes. With this in mind, choosing what to tune into becomes important.

This planetary transit of Jupiter conjunct Neptune on April 12 forms a trine to the South Node in Scorpio at 22 degrees 54′. As a result, the door is opened for the dissolution of the interior compartments where we hide what we do not like about ourselves. Jupiter and Neptune bathe our wounds and shame, and thus help us open our hearts so that we let go of the pain of the past and thus “go lighter”.

In turn, Jupiter-Neptune makes a semi-sextile towards the Sun in Aries. The Aries impulsive energy will be “strongly” tempered by the Piscean influx, just as Mars in Aquarius makes an opposition to the Moon – which will be moving from Leo to Virgo. Jupiter-Neptune semi-sextile to the Sun in Aries influences Mars, the ruler of Aries. Although it is almost imperceptible (or perhaps not), it can prevent, or at least placate, the arousal of anger and the tendency to act without thinking or to create arguments and fights – typical of the Moon-Mars opposition.

Tuesday, April 12 is a good day to turn off the TV and not let ourselves be influenced by the outside world. That day is perfect to quiet down so that we can listen to our heartbeat, and thus allow the cosmic magic to do its work. Dancing, listening to music or birdsong, sitting under a tree, etc., can help tune us into the higher vibrations of Pisces. That is a day of connection and expansion. Everything we feel spreads through the ether. Let’s give our best. Nothing will go to waste.

KEYNOTE: The need to consciously accept one’s own personal limitations in order to concentrate one’s energies and to live a centered and fulfilled life.

When I looked up the meaning of this Sabian symbol described by Dane Rudhyar I realized that during the conjunction of Jupiter and Neptune the need to center and stay with oneself is repeated. Rudhyar speaks of the importance of individuation in this symbol. Instead of becoming parts of the “shoal” that I spoke about before, it invites us to integrate our internal shoal – that isโ€ฆ the parts of the Self that need to harmonize with each other. When this harmonization occurs and we achieve “inner unity”, at the energetic level , we “separate” from the crowd. This is how individuation occurs. In this way, in addition to awakening individual consciousness, we also avoid being influenced by external forces that can inadvertently modify our perception.

The goal is not to let ourselves be carried away by the collective current but to feel that each one, as an individual, can include the collective within her/himself. As it is achieved, it is our very being that expands. And in each of our actions we include the Whole. This is the way of the mystic.

More about this transit: TRANSITING JUPITER-NEPTUNE CONJUNCTION TO PERSONAL PLANETS

To finish, I think the song that somehow exemplifies this transit of Jupiter conjunct Neptune is “Imagine” by John Lennon. John Lennon released it on film in 1971, just when these two planets were in conjunction in the sign of Sagittarius.

The Astrology of 2022 and the Major Planetary Transits

We have just started 2022. This year comes with very strong energies that we see in the different planetary transits that form in the sky. Right now Jupiter is transiting Pisces, which softens our emotions and bathes them with compassion and collective consciousness. It is a good time to talk about the highlights of this new year.

Saturn in Aquarius Square Uranus in Taurus (from September to mid-November in 2022)

During both 2021 and 2022, the energy that we have seen manifest most clearly is that of the square between Saturn and Uranus. This aspect speaks of a very intense work of consciousness that takes us out of collective inertia.

The position of Saturn by astrological sign or house shows where reality is manifested. There we see the contrast of what we believe and what it really is. That is why we associate Saturn with limitations and even with the “trials” of life. Saturn forces us to mature, to see things as they are and in that way, he becomes the Great Teacher.

When Saturn is in Aquarius, it asks:

    • How free are you really?
    • Have you taken a look at your prejudices?
    • Are you really serious about your ideals or convictions?
    • What about your views on social justice?

Aquarius is a transpersonal sign. This sign sees everything from the collective perspective. It looks for progress and innovation. To answer these questions, Saturn shapes what is, materializes reality. When it is in Aquarius, it materializes our vision of the future. If we do not like the reality that we see today, then we have the opportunity to change it, since Saturn has allowed us to take a look at what we are creating for our future.

Uranus is an electric planet. It seeks innovation, it opens new spaces to create progress. Wherever Uranus is, we see revolution, evolution, disruption, and change. When Uranus is in Taurus, it comes to update our values, to wake up the sleeping bull. Taurus is an Earth sign and Fixed. Represents natural resources, money, agriculture, stability. We have Uranus in this sign since 2018 until 2025. During this period we can expect shocks in our value system, which dismantle customs and habits that seek innovation.

The square between these two planets moves the foundations of our personal values. It brings to the surface what does not allow us to progress, both individually and collectively. We have already felt this energy throughout 2021. It continues in 2022, especially from September to mid-November 2022, with the last near-exact square of Saturn to Uranus. Here we will see social disruptions, control over individual freedoms, group regulations that destabilize the economy, great social discontent due to restrictions, and a great desire to break free from inertia. Although these energies are uncomfortable, they also symbolize a great awakening of the collective consciousness.

Pluto in Capricorn (from 2008 to January 2024)

Pluto continues in Capricorn, transiting the last 10 degrees of this sign. We are in the last phases of the transformation of the structure of society, which began in 2008. Pluto in Capricorn awakens the survival instinct of established power, institutions, authority figures and the status quo.

Those who have been born with this position carry within them the internal work of eliminating ancestral memories that correspond to the limitations with respect to everything that refers to personal prestige. These children have come into the world to transform the traditions that have developed over the past 248 years. For the rest of us, this transit upsets the rules that we have followed so far and that correspond to the symbolism of the astrological house where it falls.

Jupiter Conjunction Neptune in Pisces (April 12, 2022)

In the midst of these tumultuous times, in mid-April appears the energy of compassion, imagination and universal love represented by the conjunction of Jupiter with Neptune in the sign of Pisces. It can also be a time when “illusions”, lies, confusion can be magnified. That is why during April, and especially around the 12th of this month, it is important to go within oneself and not focus too much on what is happening externally. Connecting with intuition can open the door to a true communion with our inner being while we open our hearts to understand the mysteries of Life. This is a time when the gates of heaven open to give way to beauty and universal love. Pisces is subtle. The more we become still, the clearer its energy becomes.

The North Node enters Taurus (January 18, 2022)

The change of sign of the nodal axis a new stage of internal balance both socially and individually. While the North Node was in Gemini, we have had to investigate the beliefs that we have become attached to and begin to ask ourselves questions. With the passage of the North Node in Taurus, the challenge is to focus on the simple, on what is seen rather than losing ourselves in the convoluted and hidden. We will feel more clearly the tendency to remain in states of crisis and pain (South Node in Scorpio) while the magnetism of the North Node seeks to connect with the senses, to materialize what we want to be able to enjoy life. At the collective level we are going to seek tranquility, peace, simplicity. But we will not know how! Meanwhile, the energy of the subconscious can awaken our deepest fears. The Taurus-Scorpio nodal axis helps us feel like we have a body to pay attention to. This can translate as a strong emphasis on the economy, money, food, natural resources, and the body itself. It also emphasizes reviewing our personal values โ€‹โ€‹and the value we place on all that is alive. For this, the South Node in Scorpio helps us to deeply feel the internal emotional residues that do not allow us to enjoy Life.

More about The North Node in Taurus.

North Node conjunction with Uranus in Taurus (July 31, 2022)

This astrological aspect marks an important moment in relation to the economy, the value system and a huge desire for radical renewal of personal values. Innovation on renewable energies. A big step towards progress. A revolutionary invention affecting the natural world and production. The awakening of the desire for freedom. How this liberating energy manifests can be both constructive and destructive. However, the consequences always lean towards progress, even though the steps can be disruptive and shocking.

Venus Conjunct Mars in Capricorn โ€ฆ with Pluto! (March 3, 2022)

Venus and Mars come into conjunction on February 12, 2022, in the sign of Capricorn. These energies somehow awaken a great attraction towards the conservative, preparing for a more serious Valentine (more weddings?). On March 3, the planets of desire and pleasure join Pluto, the god of the underworld, forming a triple conjunction at 27 degrees Capricorn. Will there be a scandal in the world of politics?

This conjunction occurs simultaneously with a strongly charged Pisces (Sun, Jupiter, Moon, and Neptune) and a very close conjunction between Saturn and Mercury in Aquarius. This could be translated like this: a strong desire for POWER, a highly intelligent authority figure, and a great collective bond, something that can range from delusional daydreaming to true unconditional love.

These energies are tremendously strong, so โ€ฆ keep your feet on the ground! We’ll see how it manifests itself โ€ฆ

Venus Conjunct Mars to 0 degree Aquarius (March 6, 2022)

This can be considered as the second phase of the great conjunction between Jupiter and Saturn that occurred on December 21, 2020 in the same degrees. Venus and Mars enter Aquarius at about the same time, 9 minutes apart. Here, pleasure and desire meet innovation and break with the established. We are drawn to the different, the unique, the unconventional. If we see it from the great conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn, where we see the beginning of the renewal of structures and beliefs at the collective level, now we find the renewal of personal desires and preferences โ€ฆ a kind of second round for the great collective awakening that begins a new era that we can not yet glimpse because we are creating it together.

On a personal level, you can see in which area of life (astrological house) these aspects fall. This is where you will most feel these energies.

  • Uranus in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn 2020

Uranus in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn 2020

Uranus is the planet that represents freedom, technology, the new, the need to destroy structures that are already out of date. It is a planet that does not ask for permission and will make itself felt with more or less force, depending on our internal state. If we are very fixed in our traditions, if we want to keep what we know, if we do not open ourselves to change even when we feel the electricity in our body, then Uranus will present itself in our lives through a shock. It will break through despite our resistance. But if we relax and let our internal structures dismantle and keep the faith, then the Uranus force can be a liberating energy.

Taurus is a fixed, slow sign, a lover of tranquility, good food and that seeks to equip itself with everything necessary to be able to live well. Uranus represents the force of electricity. Shock. Its energy manifests itself as a disruptive force of renewal. What happens when these two energies come together? We will see innovation in personal resources and in the way we provide ourselves with what we need to live. The disruptive force of Uranus will gradually dismantle everything that is not sustainable. How will humanity experience it? Let’s take a look at our history.

The last time we found Uranus in Taurus was in March 1935, and it remained until August 1941. What was happening at that time? We saw Hitler initiate his expansionist policy, first annexing Austria to Germany and then invading Poland, which would usher in World War II. During those years, Hitler began to implement “policies” of extermination, first with the physically and mentally disabled, and then with all those who were not part of his “Aryan” ideal (including Jews, gypsies, homosexuals, opposition leaders, etc. .). All this was happening at the same time that the other nations did not seem to pay much attention to what was happening in Germany. Many countries refused to host Jewish refugees – including the United States and the United Kingdom. Hitler was considered a successful politician who had managed to flourish the German economy, which had been devastated since the end of the First World War. Despite being in contravention of the Versailles Treaty (the peace treaty signed on June 28, 1919 between the Allied Countries and Germany to end World War I), Hitler, without anyone stopping him, was buying and manufacturing arms, at the same time that it reestablished compulsory military service, ignoring the prohibitions established in the treaty. From Italy, Mussolini invaded Ethiopia. In Russia, the Great Purge began, a widespread crackdown on suspected opponents of the regime that lasted two years. It should be noted that Pluto would enter Leo in 1938, initiating a period in which everything related to personal power would go through a transformation. In 1939, Spain entered a dictatorship after Franco’s nationalist forces achieved victory against the Republicans in the Spanish Civil War. Pluto in Leo, the sign of personal power and royalty, brought to the surface the desire for absolute power to the last consequences.

The transit of Uranus in Taurus began in July 2018 and will remain there until the end of 2025. Uranus in Taurus comes to free us from obsolete structures, which, once they disappear, will generate some kind of progress in our lifestyle. Of course, This can feel like a disruption in our way of life that has not been consciously sought and that takes us out of the comfort of the foreseeable. To explain it better, we can change that old saying this way: life gives you lemons because the Universe wants to make lemonade. Without trivializing the aberration of war at all, we see that Uranian energies cause some kind of equality at the social level (at least among the vast majority), and it usually happens through unexpected events. We can see great parallels between what happened 84 years ago and now. The refugee crisis and the closing of borders; the importance of economic power and the emphasys of “mine” in the face of ethical values โ€‹โ€‹and solidarity towards the most vulnerable minorities. We may not be able to see today’s changes clearly until 50 years have passed. What we do know is that this time it is not about individuals transformed into emperors seeking to regain self-esteem through total control (the densest energy of Pluto in Leo). This time, the cause of social transformation is caused by the control exercised by corporations, traditions, institutions and governments (Pluto in Capricorn). The denser energies of Capricorn lead to emotional coldness. Pluto in this sign brings to light the tyranny of institutions, paternalism, authoritarianism and the desire to direct the lives of others at all costs. The potential of the passage of Pluto in Capricorn is to clean up the established order to create a more ethical society, where we can trust our governments, once the political system is reborn after the Plutonian disintegration and the direction of society is transformed into an act of responsibility rather than superiority and condescension.

Pluto takes about 20 years to go through a sign, and it will remain in Capricorn until 2023. The purge of the institutions began in 2008, at the same time that Wall Street fell thanks to the housing bubble, causing a global financial crisis and enriching the very ones who created the problem. However, that same year Kickstarter was born, the first collective financing network that, through donations or the presale of products, allowed projects to be carried out without having to resort to bank loans or any other kind of intermediaries. The North Node was in Aquarius at that time, marking the desire for freedom of action and the development of collective efforts.

Uranus in Taurus not only revolutionizes the value we place on what we consider “a material good”, but it also awakens our creativity to be self-sufficient without having to follow the traditional path. Uranus also brings an expansion of awareness when it comes to nature and our lifestyle. As happened in 1940, where scientists studied the nutritional value of food to keep the population healthy during WWII, now we are looking for ethical value. Furthermore, These changes do not come through institutions but are requested by society itself. Large clothing corporations such as H&M and others already include the origin where the clothing they sell is made, to assure the public that it does not come from modern slavery. The same goes for food. Many animal rights activists are denouncing the disparity between what is displayed in the marketing used by large companies that describe themselves as “ethical” (Whole Foods for example). Through advertising, these companies convince those consumers that are seeking “humane” options that their products are made with animals that have lived happily outdoors, when the reality is very different.

The last time Pluto was in Aquarius (1778-1798), Beethoven printed his first works, Mozart was in his creative peak, the French Revolution broke out, the United States Constitution was signed. It was Jeremy Bentham time. Bentham was the first Western philosopher to advocate for animal welfare laws, from within a comprehensive, non-religious moral theory. Mary Wollstonecraft wrote “A Vindication of Women’s Rights”, the most important book on women’s rights at that time. Jane Austen published her novels on social gender differences… Pluto will enter Aquarius in 2023 and will remain there until 2044. We will experience a strong resurgence of individual freedoms and the potential of dismantling all that threatens them.
