The transit of the North Node in Taurus and the South Node in Scorpio has opened the doors for emotional release. With the Taurus-Scorpio axis, the message from the nodes is that peace of mind is achieved when we face the truth.
We have gone through this energy from December 22, 2021, to July 12, 2023. We could say that the transit of the nodes through the signs activates specific qualities, temporarily polarizing them. This produces a particular imbalance that forces us to pay more attention to certain areas of life. The nodes push us to ask ourselves questions that we never asked ourselves before. This allows us to step on the evolutionary path, more out of necessity than desire. Of course, each one lives it in a particular way. With the Taurus-Scorpio axis, the great desire to simplify life implies a deeper look at our emotional attachments that do not allow this simplification.
Scorpio is a Water and Fixed sign. Water in Scorpio does not flow like it does in Cancer or Pisces, but stays in the same place, like the waters of a lake. This is double-edged. On the one hand, the immobility of emotions allows Scorpio to know and deepen emotional consciousness. On the other hand, if Scorpio doesn’t learn to transmute emotions, they can stay in a torture room for long periods.
With the North Node in Taurus, the sign opposite Scorpio, the desire to take things easy and do something concrete for it has been activated. Taurus wants to live in the present, day by day, here and now. Scorpio wants to feel everything. It is thanks to Taurus that Scorpio can include within their emotional treasure, the need for tranquility and peace. And now, with Jupiter transiting Taurus, until July 12, this desire for serenity is exponential, so we can establish this quality within our being… permanently. What I mean is that we can include it as something natural, as part of the total experience. At least… this is the gift that this transit gives us!
In the last year and a half, we have been able to feel everything that does not bring us serenity. Although it seems unpleasant, in reality, it opens the possibility of improving our reality by taking a closer look at certain emotional attachments or attitudes that are not necessarily productive. This transit was about that.
What begins
Now, with the entry of the North Node in Aries and the South Node in Libra, a new polarization occurs between action and commitment. The North Node in Aries activates the desire to go for what we want while the South Node in Libra shows us the compromises we do and that don’t allow us to express ourselves spontaneously.
The Nodes of the Moon always move retrograde on the zodiacal wheel. From my point of view, they don’t represent a new challenge since, by going retrograde, it is as if they have already been through the path that they are transiting. More than a movement towards the unknown, the nodes create the experience of polarization of the energies of the signs through which they transit, which, of course, are opposite signs. In this way, and as I have already mentioned, they create an imbalance that we tend to seek to correct. Somehow… we have the capacity to do so. And the possibility to do well is within us. However, we might feel internal struggle every so often. The polarization occurs due to the intense desire to express the qualities represented by the sign of the North Node, which makes us notice outdated patterns, represented by the South Node. It does not mean that we must abandon the attributes of the sign of the South Node, but rather that we need to update them.
With the North Node in Aries, the desire to be authentic, to take action, to let ourselves be carried away by inspiration, and to do our will is awakened. With this new desire, we begin to become aware of all the times we put aside our authenticity in pursuit of reaching agreements. We will notice when, by wanting to be liked, we change our behavior and stop being ourselves.
This does not mean that we are going to eliminate courtesy, kindness, and grace, but that we have the possibility of reaching a new level of consciousness, where Libra qualities don’t obscure our authenticity. This forces us to form agreements with what is truly important to us, and not simply to eliminate possible conflicts.
These are the evolutionary energies that will be activated as of July 12 and we have a little over a year and a half to work with it. As I have already mentioned, each one will do it in a particular way and depending on the personal reality of each one. However, we all have Aries and Libra included in the birth chart, as well as Mars and Venus.
We will all be affected in some way or another by this transit. The need for self-affirmation will arise and will make us review conciliatory attitudes that do not include our essential truth – especially in the areas of life (or astrological houses) where the nodes transit.
The lesson of this transit is based on creating a sense of balance that includes the spontaneous, the impulsive,… what wants to be born.

Mid-May Transits
The cosmic energies of mid-May 2023 bring a strong Taurus energy to all of us.
For some signs – be it Taurus itself, Virgo, Capricorn, and to some extent Cancer and Pisces – these days can bring great calm and a feeling of being grounded. However, it can also arouse some inertia.
For the other signs – Scorpio, Aquarius, Leo, and to a lesser extent Sagittarius, Libra, Gemini, and Aries – this can be a very important period of personal revaluation, which continues the process started with the entry of Uranus into Taurus in 2018.
For those who have planets or angles (Ascendant, House 4, 7, or 10) in the first or last degrees of a sign, you may feel a very clear shift – from action to stillness.
Taurus Energy
Taurus is the second sign of the Zodiac, from the Earth element, and of Fixed modality. We are talking about the world of forms in its pure state. Of course, the forms are not only the shell. The form is the material expression of the essence.
Taurus, as a sign, tells us about qualities rather than concrete actions. Taurus’s actions can be seen in the 2nd House, which is the representation of Taurus in the world of reality. In the 2nd House, we see what we value, our personal resources, and our attitude towards material goods among other things. Taurus itself talks about character, psychological tendencies, and attitudes.
Where Jupiter is, it expands. Jupiter enters Taurus on May 16, 2023, and will stay there for 12 months.
Jupiter joins the Sun, Mercury (which is retrograde until May 14) Uranus, and the North Node, which are also in Taurus. For all those of us who have felt little desire to do what should be done… this is the explanation! It’s not you…, it’s the exponentiated Taurus energy that leads us to take things more calmly!
Taurus energies naturally seek permanence, constancy, and duration. This is a good time to connect with the language of the body and listen to what it has to tell us. If we are tired, we must rest. If we are hungry, we must eat.
The Sun, Mercury, North Node, and Uranus in Taurus
With the Sun in Taurus, there is a great emphasis on creating something solid and lasting. With Mercury retrograde, we are reviewing the solidity of what we have been through. With the North Node in Taurus, we are completing a nodal cycle that made us seek serenity and tranquility like never before.
Uranus has been in Taurus since 2018 and will remain there until 2025. If we open ourselves to the new, this transit renews our personal values. In addition, we have the possibility of instinctively connecting with the animal kingdom, with nature in general, and with the Earth. However, Uranus in Taurus can also cause a strong desire to fight against change. So we suppress the Uranian energy, focusing on comfort and sensory pleasures, as an act of rebellion.
As I have mentioned before, these energies affect all of us differently. We can see that when we reflect on our relationship with the present. For the more enterprising, the last 15 days may have felt like a period of inertia, causing some anxiety. Or quite the opposite! Perhaps by taking it easy on us, we had access to some inner peace.
In any case, what happens to us describes our relationship with the present. If we resist what is, we are blocking the energy of Taurus. And with this, it is possible that we have problems materializing what we are looking for. Or at least, for finding resources for that.
And then Jupiter arrives!
If we have not felt the Taurean energy until now, with the entry of Jupiter into Taurus on May 16, we can no longer ignore it. Taking things easy, allowing everything to happen in its own time, and connecting with the natural rhythm of life is the great gift of this time. Of course… it’s not always easy to accept it!
Jupiter in Taurus expands sensory pleasure! It is a time when we can give ourselves what we have always wanted. Something that gives us pleasure. That which makes us say Mmmmmmmmm, be it a massage, a good wine, a bohemian hammock to listen to the birds while we frolic on the terrace, a vegan perfume,… those things that awaken our senses in a calm, and continuous way.
The motto with Jupiter in Taurus is simplicity is beautiful. We don’t need to be fancy… Tranquility is a great source of pleasure with this transit. Keeping our bank account healthy also provides it. It is not a question of being austere but of taking into account our personal interests at all levels. The happiness of connecting with the senses is generated by ourselves, and from what we truly value.
Right now we have Venus and Mars in Cancer. Later I will talk about them in more detail, but now I will mention that during the entry of Jupiter into Taurus, the energies of the present aim to protect and act from our emotions and from what we love and care for. You have to keep this in mind because…

The square of Jupiter and Pluto symbolizes an explosion of energy and a possibly compulsive desire to act extravagantly, driven by repressed emotions.
Those with planets in the first degrees of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius need to pay special attention to the impulses that arise from the subconscious. This is a great opportunity to grow. This also applies to those who have planets at the end of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, although the effects can be a bit milder. With so much Taurus energy in the air, stopping before acting is possible. And if that is achieved, they will be able to connect with those suppressed emotions and learn to express them in a positive and authentic way. This is the possibility offered by the conjunction of the Moon and Chiron in Aries. Emotional energy can be channeled into creative activities, sports, or personal endeavors that help strengthen self-confidence and a sense of identity.
At the Mundane Level
If we see it from a more mundane point of view, the need for peace and tranquility that Jupiter seeks finds that there is something in the air that requires our attention. Pluto entered Aquarius on March 23, 2023. This marks a new 20-year cycle, which can mean the destruction of current trends and the consequent regeneration of social justice and equality.
Since May 1st, Pluto has started its first retrograde motion, which will take it back toward Capricorn. “There are still structures to be demolished… let’s take a look at the social dynamics and established norms that we have gone through these last two months to see what is no longer necessary” – says Pluto.
This doesn’t sound very relaxing, does it?
Well, that’s what squares do. They take us out of our comfort zone. They force us to interact with energies both internal and external, which seem to be out of tune. And precisely for this reason, squares are generators of creativity and change!
But… what happens when the squares occur in the fixed signs? The natural expression of a fixed sign is continuity. Fixed signs do not like changes. When we talk about Taurus and Aquarius, the conflict arises between personal values and transpersonal awareness. In other words, conflicts of interest may arise in political power.
To look at it in a more optimistic way, this transit of Jupiter seeks to put the personal value of the individual on the social agenda. We could say that this retreat of Pluto serves to include stability and individual prosperity within the collective needs.
At least… it is the potential that is born from this square.
The transits of the other planets until May 19
As I mentioned before, Venus and Mars are in Cancer at the time Jupiter enters Taurus. Here we see an emphasis on sensitivity and empathy, protection and care for what we love. Bearing in mind that the day Jupiter enters Taurus, the Moon forms a conjunction with Chiron in Aries, and Mars, the ruler of Aries, is in Cancer, which is ruled by the Moon. We are talking about the possibility of healing wounds related to the fear of being vulnerable or expressing emotions. This conjunction allows us to face those fears and learn to express emotional needs in a healthy and authentic way.
Also, Mars in Cancer forms a strong trine to Neptune in Pisces. Here we are talking about acting on our emotions to help others, protect the vulnerable, and take action with compassion and empathy. It is important that if we are the ones who need care, we give it to ourselves unconditionally. This is a beautiful time to emotionally nourish ourselves with everything that transcends us.
Saturn continues in the first degrees of Pisces. Saturn here shows us the aspects of reality where we need to establish healthy emotional boundaries, let go of victimhood and avoidance, realize our commitment to service and compassion, to overcome the dispersion and lack of structure in our reality.
Of course, we may not be able to achieve all this in 8 days.
“We have to take care and protect our home!” -say Venus and Mars in Cancer. “But do not forget about compassion” – says Neptune in Pisces. “However, you have to know how to set healthy boundaries” – adds Saturn, also in Pisces. “Let’s do it calmly” – invites Jupiter. Meanwhile, Pluto quietly retraces its steps to review collective financial approaches and strategies.
These are the energies that surround us in the present. The potential exists. With 10% that we achieve, it is a lot! And Jupiter in Taurus can manifest great blessings in the future. We just have to connect with our instincts and trust.
As I said at the beginning, the way we feel about these energies reflects our relationship with the present – at least from an astrological point of view. We are in a period of great apparent inertia. Actually, Taurus represents the duration that each manifestation needs to be able to fully develop. For the restless, it can be a time of frustration because nothing seems to happen fast enough. The best thing to do is to be patient and confident that from now on and for the next 12 months we will have unusual constancy and determination in the area of life indicated by the astrological house where Taurus is found in our birth charts. And that brings blessings.
However, it is not a bad idea to keep in mind that Jupiter expands,… inflates. Don’t be seduced by expensive investments that may not be worth what they promise. Listen to your instincts.
When the Moon and the Sun form a conjunction in the astrological skies, we have a New Moon. When they oppose each other it’s the time for the Full Moon. When the New Moon or Full Moon occurs close to the lunar nodes, we have eclipses.
In Astrology, solar eclipses are triggers of conscious releases while lunar eclipses are triggers for emotional releases. It is a period where we are ready to eliminate stagnant energies and old patterns that have been kept hidden in our unconscious. If the eclipse aspects a natal planet or angle, and especially by conjunction, opposition, or square (3 degree orb or less), it may have a strong impact on the significations of that planet for up to six months or more after the eclipse.
For those looking to untangle the unconscious conditioning that prevents us from living a fulfilling life, eclipse season is like manna from heaven!
Eclipses represent changes. What is gone has completed its cycle and we are ready for the new.
The Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio
The solar eclipse in Aries on April 20 occurred near the north node in Taurus, during the New Moon. This lunar eclipse in Scorpio occurs near the south node in Scorpio, during the Full Moon, on May 5th.
For reference, these are other dates that we have experienced an eclipse of the same degree: May 1985, and May 2004. Do you remember any personal events that occurred during those dates?
At the level of self-knowledge, the Full Moon is when we reach a peak of emotional awareness. When it happens in Scorpio, it is about the possibility of becoming aware of our shadow. In other words, what our ordinary consciousness cannot normally access. That is why the Full Moon periods are related to emotional expressions that we cannot control… emotions that arise so that we can see what we truly feel. And with Scorpio, we talk about things we’d really rather keep a secret, even from ourselves.
During the Full Moon in Scorpio, it’s a good idea to ask yourself:
What are my real motivations for “this situation”?

We must not forget Uranus, at 18 degrees Taurus, conjunct the Sun in Taurus at 14 degrees. Here we are talking about a renewal of the attitude we have towards the astrological house where Taurus is found in the birth chart. The Lunar eclipse of May 5 occurs at 14 degrees of Scorpio. Although we are all going to feel it, those who have planets between 11 and 17 of each sign will receive a specific activation during the Full Moon.

This year Mercury turns retrograde 90% of its time in Earth signs. For some reason that only God knows, we need to reassess our reality with pragmatism. What happens when Pluto transits the 3rd House? Here we talk about mental processes, learning, teaching, and communication. If the 3rd House is in Capricorn, we take communication and information in general very seriously. If Aquarius is also part of our 3rd House, the transit of Pluto in Aquarius will activate unusual parts of our perception, to which we may have paid little attention until now.
Pluto’s transit in Capricorn began in 2008, so for many, Pluto’s transit through the 3rd House has been going on for a while. In Capricorn, the transit of Pluto takes away with it moral rules and ambitions that do not correspond to the present. Pluto’s previous transit in Capricorn began in 1762, during the development of the industrial revolution. Those who have the 3rd House in Capricorn have had the opportunity to observe to what extent their perspective has been conditioned by thought patterns strongly linked to productivity. Although Pluto’s transits can be intense, they are also parallel to our initiation path, and for this reason, the elimination process is experienced in a more conscious way. It is easy to believe that Pluto’s natal position shows a personal trait and not a process of regeneration. Transits help us distinguish Plutonian energy, and by paying attention to our reactions during these transits, we can begin to recognize our natal Pluto.
Pluto Retrogradation during 2023/2024
Pluto’s retrograde movement between Capricorn and Aquarius is undoubtedly a preparation for the next 20 years. We could say that this retrogradation is creating two very clear energy currents: those who seek to maintain the status quo and those who don’t. The retrogradation brings with it the potential for peaceful integration, where old social structures are renewed to give way to a new vision. But there is also the possibility of establishing rules that seek to maintain what is known and the consequent clash with those who seek progress.

Pluto’s Transit in Aquarius Through the 2nd House
Considering that the last time we had Pluto in Aquarius was in 1777, we have little information about the personal consequences of this transit. However, Thomas Moore, the Irish writer, poet, and lyricist born in 1779, with his natal Pluto in the 2nd House, can show us a Pluto in Aquarius through his words
The 2nd House is traditionally the house of money. But, in reality, we associate it with money because money allows us to buy food, clothes, services,… and everything we need to survive. So… there must be a more “organic” explanation of the 2nd House… which is closely linked with the energy of Taurus. For example… what does the 2nd House symbolize for my cat? In her case, the ability to hunt her own food is a typical 2nd House characteristic. Or her meow to tell me that she’s hungry.
So, in the 2nd House, we see what resources we have at our disposal to provide us with what we need to live. Pluto’s transit confronts us with what we need to take a deeper look at… what we’ve avoided seeing until now. When we interpret the transits of Pluto, it is very important to take into account the natal position, since the transits actually assist the evolutionary path described by natal Pluto. As I just mentioned, the transit through the 2nd House awakens the insecurities we feel regarding our ability to supply ourselves with the essentials for subsistence. But of course… Pluto, as the god of the Underworld, can take us to landscapes of our subconscious that we don’t even want to look at! The transit of Pluto in Capricorn in the 1st House – Capricorn and Aquarius Rising
In Capricorn, Pluto activates the internal authority in each one of us. Now the “fight” begins between getting out or staying inside the chrysalis. Staying inside means eternal childhood. Pluto becomes the external authority that exercises power over us and we comply with what this authority asks of us. As a result, and unconsciously, the most immature state of Cancer (the opposite sign of Capricorn) is activated within us: we become overly emotional, moody, insecure, and sometimes even demeaning in our dealings with others! Other times we feel trapped in obligations that do not really correspond to our personal interests, accumulating a great feeling of powerlessness… that often remains suppressed from our consciousness.
If we decide to come out of the chrysalis, we embark on regenerating internal authority, making our own decisions, and becoming the CEOs of our own lives. That’s the real personal power we develop when Pluto transits Capricorn. Step by step, we open our own path through self-discipline, which is always accompanied by the joy of following – with tenacity – the true goals of our Being.
How does this translate when Pluto in Capricorn transits the 1st House? In the 1st House, our evolutionary process seeks the regeneration of personal power. This means that we are going to experience everything that I have just mentioned in our own identity. We get personal power when we manage to connect with our internal authority. But not to rule or control others, but, as I said before, to become our own CEOs! The 1st House is completely – and correctly – individualistic. It is about oneself. Any challenge or experience of oppression we have been through has been aimed at discovering our inner strength. When Capricorn is our rising sign, the transit of Pluto leads us to incarnate those parts of the personality that have not been fully developed… like our responsibility, our commitment to achievement, and our ambition! But if we stay inside the chrysalis and hide our emotions, our motivations, and even our desires, the internal pain can become very strong and in the end, the excess poison that we carry inside is released to the outside… The advice is to associate with individuals who accept us as we are and, in this way, give us the space to express our authenticity.
When we begin to integrate that part of us that is industrious, serious, and ambitious, we will feel that we are more authentic, real, and stronger! And as if by magic, our evolutionary path, symbolized by the natal position of Pluto, also takes a step forward.
The transit of Pluto in Aquarius in the 1st house (and Capricorn in the 12th house)
In Aquarius, Pluto activates our individual uniqueness. Will we dare to be ourselves? Or will we seek to amalgamate with our peers? If we choose the latter, we are keeping ourselves inside the chrysalis. And we already know what happens when we stay inside too long… *if not, re-read “The evolutionary process of Pluto”. ↑
There’s a reason we don’t want to leave the chrysalis… Generally, these reasons come from unpleasant experiences that have inhibited our spontaneity. If Aquarius is our rising sign, then these inhibitions have to do with something that makes us different from the status quo. Pluto’s transit activates our essential geometry and with it, brings experiences that differentiate us even more from conventional reality. What hurts is not our sense of Self, but the artificial mask that we have created to hide it. That mask is cold, it doesn’t feel, and it can become so cerebral that it forgets the warmth of Life.
If our Ascendant is in Capricorn, then we are already “used to” identity crises. Our mask is breaking apart and perhaps an internal light can already be seen through the cracks. Although now with Pluto in Aquarius we begin to feel an urgency to free ourselves from any foreign social convention that we still carry in our behavior, Pluto’s passage through Capricorn may have provided us with a method to do so. And if we still don’t find it, we still have 23 months to do it.
But… what happens if our rising sing is in the first degrees of Aquarius? In this case, Pluto comes from its passage through the 12th House, and… the good news is that we have survived it! The transit of Pluto in the 12th House awakens within us a deep feeling of grief. Irrational fears can lead us to self-sabotage. With Pluto transiting the 12th House for so many years, we’ve had the chance to take a long, deep look at our most terrifying fantasies…the ones that can include self-sacrifice born of duty. But… who says that they are really fantasies? The 12th House connects us with the collective unconscious. With Pluto in this position, we are able to connect with parallel realities that vibrate at the same frequency as us. But whatever we connect with, that dream world contains a lot of information for our own evolution.
Earlier I mentioned that Pluto in Capricorn activates our inner authority. In the 12th House, that inner authority makes us hyper-realistic when it comes to surrendering to the world of the unconscious. Capricorn in the 12th House provides us with the self-discipline necessary to walk pragmatically in the shadows. Having the god of the Underworld trigger our unconscious fears has given us the courage to address them in a constructive way. At least, that’s the gift of this Pluto transit!
So, during the next 23 months, as Pluto conjuncts our Ascendant in Aquarius, we are going to feel very strongly all the masks we have used to not stand out, not appear different, and be accepted by our community. But there is no need to worry so much… because the transit of Saturn through the 12th House has prepared you for this moment. The main thing is that you trust yourself and that you free yourself from any social convention that does not belong to your own nature.
Every time you feel the desire to fight or act cruelly with someone, before acting, listen to your emotions and dive into yourself, looking for what is the emotion, what is the memory, what is the trigger for this reaction. The strength of Pluto in Aquarius will be felt above all by “the people”. The search for recognition as an individual with rights can manifest itself in various ways… a new current of free thinkers, revolutions,… We must also pay attention to the fanaticism that, consciously or unconsciously, can lead us to a dystopian reality.

Neptune in Pisces (2011-2026)
Neptune has been in Pisces since 2011, and it stays until 2026. During this period, the gravitational field of the intangible has transcended beyond what is known. The transit of Saturn in Pisces brings realism to the world of dreams. Pluto is still transiting Capricorn, so its energy will start working on the illusion of power. Uranus in Aquarius Transit – Dates
This retrogradation process can be considered as acclimatization to the new energies that are coming. We are entering a new paradigm, and Pluto’s retrogradation indicates that we will go through situations that we have already experienced in recent years, so we can see the same thing from a new perspective. In any case, structures and rules “by the book” will continue to surface… too traditional and out of date. Therefore, use this time to review them and eliminate those that represent realities of other times. During the last time that Pluto transited Aquarius, we saw the birth of the French revolution, the independence of the United States, the height of the Enlightenment, Mozart, the Montgolfier brothers, and the first hot air balloon that allowed us to fly, … – all events that changed the status quo.
In Aquarius, Plutonian energy focuses on innovation and the consolidation of the Self as an individual in a society. The power structures that have been eroded after Pluto’s passage through Capricorn have little chance of holding up to Pluto’s transit in Aquarius. Aquarius is futuristic and with Pluto here, we find ourselves with a great desire for the new, the different, and the radical. The traditional forms that we already know are experienced as limitations. We don’t know for sure what is going to happen… what we do know is that, whatever it is, it will bring revolutionary changes.
As in all cases, we can go from one extreme to the other… Pluto does that so that we experience Aquarian energy in its entirety. In this way, we manage to access everything that is in the subconscious. In Capricorn, we have investigated the internal structures that have been formed by patriarchy, social rules, and traditions of the past. In Aquarius, we will investigate the mental structures that form our ideologies, the reasons why we acquire them, and what we believe is social equality.
As I mentioned, Pluto shows us the shadow, what is not seen, what we have repressed – often unconsciously. During his transit through Aquarius, a powerful desire to exercise individual freedom will awaken in us. The rise of intellectual movements that seek to seize power is also possible. When Aquarius gets something on their mind… it’s hard for them to let go of it! This combined with Pluto can be quite a stiff cocktail. Because that’s how Pluto works! If there are parts of us that have authoritarian tendencies…they will show up for us to see!

May | Jupiter enters Taurus
On May 16, Jupiter, the planet of exploration and expansion takes the Taurus style, the sign of slowness, calm, tranquility, values, and the senses. This transit will accompany us throughout the whole year. During this period, the energy of Jupiter expands our instincts. A great desire to return to the routine and recover a certain sense of permanence invades us. This can bring an inclination to indulge and overspend! However, the gift of Jupiter in Taurus is to allow us to be more connected with the messages of the body… that intuition that we share with the other species and that tells us clearly where to go, even if we don’t know the way.
We don’t move from here – Uranus in Taurus
Jupiter’s energy joins that of Uranus. Uranus, the rebel, transits through this sign from 2018 to 2026. The style of Uranus in Taurus is quite anti-Uranian if we get carried away by stereotypes… This transit resists change! With this position, we see that the desire for something new indicated by Pluto in Aquarius is based on the need to create some stability. And with Uranus in Taurus, we’re not just talking about the economy, but our relationship with the earth and other species. Greta Thunberg began her activism in 2018, simultaneously with the entry of Uranus into Taurus.
On May 17, Jupiter forms an exact square to Pluto in Aquarius. Our instinct is super exponentiated with Jupiter in Taurus and the square with Pluto intensifies it. This transit propels us toward success! However, beware of Plutonian energy… as we can seek it at all costs. The message of this square: not all that glitters is gold.
For natives of all signs, this is a time to achieve great things, as well as to recognize and use our many personal resources and build a future for ourselves. The Moon at 6 degrees Taurus is in conjunction with the North Node. Also, Mars, at the end of Cancer, is very close to the exact square of Jupiter, and in opposition to Pluto. We are more assertive and less tolerant.
For this reason, this is an excellent period (especially in the middle of this month) to connect with nature, with our instincts, with our values, and put our feet on the ground “so that in case of overload the accumulated energy is neutralized”. Compulsive behaviors can arise, a great desire to do what one wants without really stopping to listen to what instinct tells us This is a challenge to find a new meaning to what is a material value and connect with the rhythm of Life. We all have, to a lesser or greater extent, a compulsion to want to control the future. We have learned it since childhood when everything has been focused on preparing us for “tomorrow”. Now it is time to realize that the future exists… only in our minds! We are creating it as we speak, in the now.
I believe that 2023 will be, to a large extent, a period in which we will prepare the ground for the great changes that begin in 2024. The situations that we go through, conflictive or not, help us to connect with what is truly important, especially in our harmony with nature. We actually are nature and many times we forget it. With the energies of Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus, Pluto in Aquarius will be cleaning up the “virtual” world in which we have been living. We will gradually become more aware of a world vaster than the human bubble.
July 18: North Node in Aries
The nodes of the Moon move in the reverse of the planets. The North Node has been in Taurus since January 18, 2022, and stays until July 17, 2023. On the 17th it enters Aries, during the New Moon in Cancer. And now what? With this nodal position, we feel it is time to start a new phase. The New Moon indicates that our personal world, our affections, and our feelings are the context. This is a good time to sow the seeds of what truly satisfies us and defend it.
The emphasis of this new period is on daring to act independently.
The evolutionary process for all is to stop making compromises and truly follow our hearts. We are journeying a new reality and to do so, we must put our needs in the equation.
The Rest of the Year
As we have seen, the first half of 2023 sees a lot of movement. A great change of consciousness prepares us for a new period, full of surprises, innovations, and demands that will shake known structures.
The second half of the year looks quieter… just the way Jupiter in Taurus likes it, which stays in this sign until May 25, 2024. Along with Saturn in Pisces, which sextiles Jupiter in mid-June, it seems that the universe has designed a moment of great social intensity within a haven of peace and spiritual seriousness… although of course, we live it from different states of consciousness.
We are living in times of change. Cosmic intelligence shows us a natural coherence to which we are acclimating. These changes have already occurred in the past and humanity has survived them. In fact, they always lead us toward progress.
Uranus is in Taurus until 2026. During this period, the Plutonian energy in Aquarius will focus on transforming our ideals so that they reflect a more pragmatic and simple vision. We will make mistakes and we will correct them. Ecological issues will be very present… and also the conflicts of interest that affect them. Ideally, we could tune in to the present moment and allow the shift in consciousness that is already taking place naturally. We must contemplate new concepts, even if they are unusual and different from what we know… and look at them with curiosity, instead of fear.
